I'm baaaack!!!

Ok - I had many questions about resurrecting this blog now that we are pregnant with baby cook #2.... so I figured, why not?!?!?!!? I know I've been a bad blogger -- I need to snap out of it and at least update monthly with Ben's goings-on. So yes, we are expecting our second little one - 2 kids under 2 years of age - insanity!!! But, yes, this was intentional and we are very happy! We heard the heartbeat for Baby C on 10/15/09, strong in the upper 150s, and doc said everything was great so far so we told the world! Our next appointment is to actually see the little bean on 10/30/09, so I'm excited for that for sure!

Ben is doing great! He's cruising everywhere - he'll lean forward between furniture but won't quite take steps on his own yet. His one or two attempts thus far have resulted in face plants into the floor, so I think he's a little hesitant. He says "night night" as basically his first words.... not much else yet but he babbles in his own language all day long!!! He's a great sleeper, a picky toddler when it comes to eating (we have a toddler!!!!), and just a very happy little boy and a joy to be around!

The last one was taken with the lights off, and he wasn't a fan of the dark room and glowing pumpkin! Like the awesome monkey face Jerred carved into the pumpkin??? It came out great!

So that's the scoop - EDD for baby #2 is May 14, 2009 right now - will get a confirmed date based on how big baby is next Friday, and if they give us some ultrasound photos we'll share them for sure!!!!

It's almost June!

I cannot believe how quickly this past month has passed! After all of our trials & tribulations with Jerred's injury, I managed to come down with pneumonia in May, so I thought for sure the month would drag on and on but here it is almost June already! I'm slowly starting to feel better, just wishing the night time coughing spells would go away already!

That means it's almost time for Ben's 9 month appointment - I cannot believe we have a 9 month old!!! It's crazy how fast they grow!

He still only has the 1 little tooth, but he's growing like a weed!! Rolling everywhere, starting to push himself backward in a crawl-type motion, so hopefully full-on crawling will happen soon. He loves to practice standing up and playing the drums on our ottomans in the living room!!

Everything else is going well - Jerred is down to one physical therapy session a week starting next week, so that was great news to learn today! We are both still working at Thomson Reuters, car pooling when we can!

We took Ben to the cabin for the first time over Memorial Day weekend and he had a good time I think- a little out of sorts being away from home and off his normal schedule, but he seems back to himself today (although fighting a low grade fever -- another tooth finally???).

The Blog - REVIVED!

I have absolutely no idea if anyone reads this any more since, well, we got lazy... Ok, since I got lazy since Jerred doesn't do this stuff!

But - life with an infant has been keeping us very busy -- Ben is now almost 8 months old and is just such an amazing bundle of joy! He smiles and laughs ALL the time, is rolling around the floor like crazy, and is beginning to try and figure out how to get up on all fours to crawl! I'm sure it will be another month or 2 before gets the hang of it, but he's doing great!

Next doc appointment is not until June so no idea how big he really is (I'd estimate his weight at around 19-20 lbs) - but he's grown a lot in length the past month or so!!
